Data and privacy
Go is an on-device Go game. No account with the developer is required. The app does not send games or personal information to a developer server, and includes no advertising or analytics tracking.
Information on your device
Language, font, theme, last started board size, opponent strength, automatic move review, and opponent character preferences are saved on your device. Games, replays, and other game settings remain in memory for the current app session. Opponent moves, hints, scoring, and move reviews are processed by bundled engines on your device.
Purchases and Apple
Apple processes subscription payments. Go uses StoreKit to retrieve products and verify purchase and subscription status. The developer does not receive your payment card details, and the app does not upload transactions to a developer server. Apple processes information under its own privacy policy.
Support requests
If you contact support@sweatypotato.ca, your email address and message are processed through Zoho Mail to resolve your request. We delete support correspondence after the request is resolved unless retention is legally required. Please do not send passwords, payment details, or unrelated personal information.
Visits to our website
When you visit sweatypotato.ca, Vercel processes connection information, such as your IP address and requested page, to deliver and secure the website. The website contains no advertising, analytics scripts, account sign-in, or contact forms. Following an email link opens your email application. Website hosting is separate from the app’s on-device gameplay.
Retention and your choices
You can change saved preferences in Settings. Starting a new game discards the previous game and replay; ending the app process clears session data. Deleting the app removes its local preferences, although device backups may retain copies under your Apple settings. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription or erase Apple’s purchase records.
